Examines contemporary theoretical, methodological, and/or substantive topics in the fields of Anthropology and Sociology. Topics vary by semester. Drawing on the course themes, students will engage in a semester-long capstone project incorporating one or more of the following: independent data collection and analysis; extended theoretical inquiry; service and applied learning. These projects will culminate in a thesis and oral presentation. May be repeated for credit as topic varies. The course fulfills the requirement for oral competency.
