Chemistry Minor

Students minoring in Chemistry must complete the following requirements:

22 hours including:

CHEM 145 - Quantitative Chemistry Laboratory (1)
CHEM 231 - Organic Chemistry I (3)
CHEM 236 - General Chemistry II (3)
CHEM 328 - Elements of Inorganic Chemistry (3)

12 additional hours in chemistry (8 of which must be at the 300 or 400 level)

CHEM 390, 411 or 499 cannot be used as part of the 12 additional hours.

Additional Information:

Students must earn a minimum 2.00 grade-point-average on all minor courses taken at UNC Asheville. One-half of the hours required for a minor must be completed at UNC Asheville, to include at least 6 semester hours of 300-400 level courses.
