Completion of one of the degree requirements outlined below. A grade of C or better in either CHEM 408 or CHEM 418 is required to demonstrate practical, written, computer, and oral competency in chemistry.

CHEM 416 - Chemical Research I (1)

CHEM 418 - Chemical Research III (1)
CHEM 428 - Computational Chemistry (3)
CHEM 429 - Advanced Inorganic Chemistry (3)
MATH 365 - Linear Algebra I (3)

One 2-3 hour upper-level CHEM course
