Biology Minor

18–20 hours in Biology, including:

BIOL 115 - Concepts in Ecology and Evolution (4)
BIOL 116 - Principles of Cellular and Molecular Biology (4)

Either:

BIOL 210 - Principles of Zoology (4) or
BIOL 211 - Principles of Botany (4)

6–8 hours chosen from advanced offerings at the 300-level or higher

For teacher licensure:

For teacher licensure, BIOL 333 , BIOL 335 , BIOL 344 and BIOL 443 are recommended.

Additional Information:

Students must earn a minimum 2.00 grade-point-average on all minor courses taken at UNC Asheville. One-half of the hours required for a minor must be completed at UNC Asheville, to include at least 6 semester hours of 300-400 level courses.
