A critical investigation of 40+ years of video game histories, technologies, global cultures, philosophies, and aesthetics relevant to the medium. Using texts, auto-ethnographic gameplay, and informative documentaries, we will discuss the influence and the experiential power of video games, which will culminate in a substantial research paper and in-depth independent game design proposal.
