II. Required courses outside of the major—14 hours:

One course from:

MATH 167 - Precalculus (4)
STAT 185 - Introductory Statistics (4)
(This requirement may be fulfilled with a higher level MATH or STAT course.)

One of the following sequences:

PHYS 101 - Light and Visual Phenomena (3) and
PHYS 121 - Light and Visual Phenomena Lab (1)
or
PHYS 102 - The Physics of Sound and Music (3) and
PHYS 122 - The Physics of Sound and Music Lab (1)

III. Other departmental requirements:

Satisfactory completion of NM 438 with a grade of C or better demonstrates oral competency. Completion of NM 490 with a grade of C or better demonstrates major and computer competency.
