I. Required courses in the major - 36 hours:

8 hours of Fundamental courses:

MUSC 101 - Fundamentals of Harmony at the Keyboard: Class Piano I (2)
MUSC 103 - Fundamentals of Fingers & the Fretboard: Class Guitar I (2)
MUSC 105 - Fundamentals of the Human Voice & Melody: Class Voice I (2)
MUSC 107 - Fundamentals of Time, Rhythm, & Percussion: Class Percussion I (2)
Exceptional musicians may test out of up to two of these classes, and substitute individual applied lessons [MUSC 191, 192].

4 hours chosen from:

4 elective hours in MUSC 100-200 level

18 hours at the 300-400 level, including MUSC 411.

Excluding the hours from MUSC 392 or 499.

MUSC 411 - Guided Capstone Projects (2)
