Sociology

I. Required courses in the major—36 hours including:

• SOC 100 - Introduction to Sociology (4)
• SOC 225 - Social and Cultural Inquiry (ANTH 225) (4)
• SOC 338 - Social Research Methods (4)

II. Required courses outside major—None

STAT 185  is recommended for students wishing to pursue additional quantitative analysis. 

III. Major competency:

Demonstrated in SOC 405 or SOC 464. A grade of C or higher is required to graduate.

Note:

Students majoring in Sociology, who also want to major in Anthropology, must complete 24 hours of Anthropology courses that are not used to complete requirements for the major in Sociology, including a separate capstone course.
