I. Required courses in the major—67-75 hours, including:

Students whose level of proficiency does not allow them to start with MUSC 291 will be required to complete 191 and/or 192 prior to taking the higher level Applied Music courses. These demonstrated Proficiencies related to placement into or out of MUSC 101, MUSC 132, and 191 are determined by the music theory and class piano placement exams and the audition for the major.
