I. Required courses in the major-at least 35 hours, including:

• HWP 225 - Nutrition and Lifestyle (3)
• HWP 294 - Human Physiology (4)
• HWP 310 - Community Health Promotion: Theory and Practice (4)
• HWP 335 - Health Communication (3)
• HWP 455 - Pathophysiology of Chronic Conditions and Illnesses (3)
• HWP 459 - Senior Seminar in Health and Wellness Promotion (3)

• 
          Note: BIOL 338 may be substituted for HWP 294.
   

II. Required courses outside the major-8 hours:

• STAT 185 - Introductory Statistics (4)

III. Education requirements:

Students must also complete the required EDUC courses as indicated in the Education  section of the catalog.

IV. Other departmental requirements:

A grade of C or higher in HWP 310 and 459 is required to graduate. Discipline specific writing competency is fulfilled by successful completion of HWP 335, and information literacy competency is fulfilled by successful completion of HWP 455.
