SOC 100 - Introduction to Sociology(4) Introduces students to a diverse range of theoretical sociological approaches, as well as the diverse real life perspectives of the field. The course covers a number of themes, including race and ethnicity, poverty, family, population growth, difference and inequality, and more. Students will be educated about the complex relationships between individuals and their social worlds, social structure and social institutions, socialization, social interaction, and social identities and inequalities. Fall and Spring.
