STM 101 - Introduction to STEAM (3)

Introduction to STEAM Studio is an elective course. Hands-on projects are used to train participants in the safe operation of manual equipment, including milling machines, grinders, saws, planers, jointers, sanders, and drill presses. As an introduction to computer-aided fabrication, students learn to design using Fusion 360 3D modeling software and fabricate their designs on the laser-cutter, ShopBot CNC router, and waterjet cutter. Successful completion of the course requirements enables students to pursue independent studio projects. This course satisfies the Core Curriculum Arts requirement. Registration is restricted to Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior class standing. Fall and Spring.
