SPAN 444 - Studies in Aesthetics (4)

This course introduces students to topics in the aesthetic and cultural production of Spanish-speaking regions at a level appropriate for advanced Spanish learners, or those with previous background in Spanish. Students will develop an understanding of the value and history of aesthetics and cultural production from Spanish-speaking regions, and develop skills related to the analysis of cultural and aesthetic works, and the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish about cultural and aesthetic topics. This course fulfills the Arts requirement of the Core Curriculum. Prerequisite: Spanish 310 or equivalent, or permission of instructor. See department chair.
