LANG 395 - Contemporary English Grammar (4)

Sociolinguistic investigation of English language structures and variations with an emphasis on contextualized patterns of use. Students will engage with basic linguistic and grammatical concepts, practice analyzing and comparing sentences across several language varieties (spoken and written, dialect and register, vernacular and “standard”), and consider implications for their individual courses of study.
