PHIL 200 - Introduction to Ethical Theories (4)

An introduction to theories in ethics balancing a western historical component with exploration of more contemporary and/or non-western components. Students will be introduced to virtue theory, utilitarianism and deontology as well as some mix of Buddhist, Confucian, Daoist and/or Hindu theories and contemporary feminist theories. Emphasis will be placed on students developing their individual responses to perennial issues in ethics. Periodically.
