MATH 381 - Mathematics Professional Seminar (1)

This seminar develops skills in communication, critical thinking, professionalism, and teamwork through authentic mathematical tasks and career-focused activities. Students practice articulating their skills and experiences effectively in the context of a job search, while practicing how to translate mathematical ideas for non-technical audiences. Collaborative projects give students experience with the types of work and problem-solving they may encounter in professional environments. Prerequisite: MATH 291 and junior standing; or permission of instructor. Fall.
