Mathematics: Concentration in Statistics

This program is designed for students who have an interest in probability and statistics. Graduates may pursue a career in actuarial science, quality control or related fields, or enter a graduate program in statistics, mathematics or a related discipline.

I. Required courses in the major—40-44 hours, including:

Students intending to pursue graduate study are strongly advised to take:

Satisfactory performance on a comprehensive Mathematics exam and the satisfactory presentation of one seminar in MATH 480.
