An overview of child and adolescent health issues, programs, and trends. The course addresses the development of the individual through childhood and adolescence while focusing on health issues. At the completion of this class, students will demonstrate the role of behavioral, physical, cultural, social, emotional, and psychological factors in determining methods for disease prevention and health promotion among children and adolescents.
